Bicycle Blender
Collective Roots is the sixth in the nation to incorporate bicycle blenders into its nutrition and garden programs. Thanks to the Christensen Fund and Bon Appetit Management Company, this is one of many green technologies that are part of the new outdoor food preparation area.
There is no official history of the bicycle blender. Collective Roots gets its bicycle blender from the folks at www.bicycleblender.com.
Inspirations came from Humbolt State University's CCAT, and their human power prototypes. A picture of their bike blender which appeared in Utne Reader in 2001 was influential in the early design process.
