Vandals wreck garden at East Palo Alto school

Someone owes an explanation - and an apology - to the kids at the San Francisco 49ers Academy middle school in East Palo Alto.

"Somebody came over the weekend and literally destroyed our garden," said Eboni Cobby, 13, who attends the academy's after-school program, where students have been tending vegetables, fruits and flowers this spring.

"Things were really getting good," Eboni said. "And all of a sudden ..."
