Collective Roots Fruit Tree Planting: January 16th, 2012

On January 16th, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, Collective Roots invites volunteers to join in a fruit tree planting from 9AM - 1PM, starting the the East Palo Alto Phoenix Academy, 1039 Garden Street, East Palo Alto, CA 94303: we'll be planting over 70 fruit trees in the community! We'll be planting a wide variety of trees well suited to the local environment including apples, apricots, avocados, peaches, and more. Be sure to sign up soon and be a part of planting a legacy that will last well into the future. To RSVP email volunteer@collectiveroots.org

Next Community Work Day at the EPACS Garden: February 11th, 9 - noon

Please join us at the EPACS garden for a morning of garden tasks!  We'll be weeding, mulching, tending to the chickens, planting seeds and other garden tasks.   Please dress in layers and closed-toed shoes and apply sunscreen!

IN CASE OF RAIN THE WORK DAY WILL BE CANCELED

MORE INFORMATION: Our monthly workdays are usually held on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 9 AM -12 PM (unless otherwise noted.) Please call or email  us in advance to confirm date, time, and location.

These events allow Collective Roots to keep our school gardens in good shape and provide opportunities for larger scale projects to be accomplished. Teams of participants are provided with projects that are completed in one half day. Volunteers come from the schools we serve, East Palo Alto community, and surrounding communities.
