Farmers’ markets increase consumption of fruits and vegetables, study shows.
"An evaluation of eight Philadelphia farmers’ markets operating primarily in low-income communities found that more than half the visitors to the markets (57 percent) said they had increased their fruit and vegetable consumption since they started coming to the market."
