WHO Creates Food System Change?

I create food system change...YOU create food system change...WE create food system change.

Collective Roots is actively seeking community stakeholders (see following list) who are interested in taking an active role to create food system change. Our efforts are currently focused in the community of East Palo Alto.

  • Local elected leaders
  • Representatives of the faith based community
  • Educational leaders
  • Food and agriculture agency representatives
  • Farmers or groups interested in sustainable farming and/or farmland and open space preservation
  • Land Trust organizations
  • Food banks and anti-hunger advocates
  • Cooperative Extension and other relevant university faculty
  • Public health workers and nutritionists
  • Environmental and sustainable community advocates
  • Parks and Recreation Departments
  • Urban gardeners and gardening organizations
  • Food processors, retailers
  • Small businesses, neighborhood markets, property owners, developers
  • Interested community members

One of the keys to creating community based food system changeis by developing connections between diverse stakeholders.
