BOTANICOPEDIA is a botanical wiki, one of the many exciting functions of this website. Botany is the scientific study of plants and plant life and is a important field of knowledge emphasized within garden based learning.

This botanical wiki is a collaborative online effort by Collective Roots to provide a portal to the world of botany and plants. It is our hope that resources such as this will accelerate garden based learning. We use an amazing software called Drupal to power this effort. Drupal is an open source content management system that allows online collaboration that is very user friendly.

There are already many wonderful botanical resource sites available on the internet. The vision of this effort is to provide an introduction to plants of interest in the field of garden based learning, and provide links to majors sites and resources featuring these plants of special interest.
